They still want to come with you.

Help your senior dog stay part of everyday life.

Extra support for their back legs at the car door, on the stairs, and around the garden.

  • Rear-leg support — The panel sits under the hips, just ahead of the back legs. Nothing goes near the neck or chest.
  • Set to your height — The handle adjusts between 94 cm and 164 cm depending on size, so you are not stooping the whole way down the garden.
  • You lift, they walk — You take some of the weight and your dog sets the pace. Supervised use only.
  • Folds flat — Packs down to live in the car door or by the lead hook.

Full description and size chart

EFFORTLESS. NEVER UNDERDRESSED.

Some shoes are chosen in a hurry. DRAYTON is chosen once and worn for years.

Handmade from breathable leather with a moulded, cushioned footbed, DRAYTON slips on in seconds without ever looking like it was built for ease alone. The moccasin-stitched apron and flexible sole give it a tooling-shoe character that pairs as well with tailoring as it does with denim.

DRAYTON is part of the Jazi core collection — pieces chosen to outlast the season they arrive in.

Is this right for your dog?

A good fit when their back legs are weaker but their front legs are still strong, they can take their own weight for short stretches and still want to walk, and someone is with them the whole time it is on.

Not the right product when your dog cannot stand or bear weight at all, when they have suddenly lost the use of a back leg, are dragging a limb or seem to be in pain, or when you need support at the front end as well as the back.

This is a mobility aid, not a veterinary treatment, and it is not a substitute for professional care.

Sizing

Sizes are set by the pad and the strap range, not by a collar size.

Small — 15 × 60 cm pad, 94–138 cm strap range.
Medium — 17 × 71 cm pad, 107–148 cm strap range.
Large — 21 × 82 cm pad, 119–164 cm strap range.

[size measurements]

Between two sizes, take the larger one — the straps adjust down, the pad does not.

Care

Machine washable. Slide the handle sleeve off first, wash cool, and air dry rather than tumbling so the fleece keeps its loft.

Using it safely

Take it off when your dog is resting or unsupervised. It is made for the moments you are actively helping: the car, the stairs, a short walk. Check underneath for rubbing when you take it off, the same as you would a collar.

If your dog has suddenly lost the use of their back legs, is dragging a limb, or seems to be in pain, please speak to your vet before using it.

Why the towel stops working

A senior golden retriever unable to get up on a wooden floor, beside the same dog standing steadily in a rear-support sling

The towel under the belly

It is what most of us reach for first, and it does the job for a while. But a towel has no fixed handle and nothing holding it in place, so it slides along the body and you end up gripping tighter and lower than you meant to — usually on the stairs, usually in a hurry.

A rear-support sling

The panel is shaped to stay put under the hips, and the handle is fixed where your hand already is. One steady place to lift from, at a height you set, so your dog keeps walking while you carry some of the weight.

What it is made of

Cutaway of the sling pad showing reflective nylon straps, water-resistant Oxford shell and synthetic wool fleece lining

Where it earns its place

It starts at the car door. Your dog is up, waiting, still expecting to come — and the back end just will not make the jump. The sling gives you somewhere to lift from, so they can get their front legs up and you take the rest. Same on the stairs, on kitchen tile, and on the slow lap of the garden last thing at night.

Questions

How do I know which size to order?

Sizes are set by the pad and the strap range, not by a collar size. Small has a 15 × 60 cm pad and a 94–138 cm strap range; medium is 17 × 71 cm with 107–148 cm; large is 21 × 82 cm with 119–164 cm. [size measurements]

Between two sizes, take the larger one — the straps adjust down, the pad does not.

Does it go around my dog's chest?

No. This supports the back end only. The panel sits under the belly just ahead of the back legs, and nothing passes around the neck or chest. If your dog needs front-end support too, this is not the right product on its own.

Can my dog wear it all day?

No — take it off when they are resting or unsupervised. It is made for the moments you are actively helping: the car, the stairs, a short walk. Check underneath for rubbing when you take it off, the same as you would a collar.

My dog cannot stand up at all. Will this be enough?

Probably not. It assumes the front legs still work and your dog can carry some of their own weight. If they cannot stand, or the change came on suddenly, please talk to your vet before lifting them at home.

How is it washed?

Machine washable. Slide the handle sleeve off first, wash cool, and air dry rather than tumbling so the fleece keeps its loft.
